One of the wonderful things about hosting Beachbody Challenge Groups is that I get to meet the most amazing people in their quest to achieve the most perfect version of themselves. One such person is my good friend Bekki, a well travelled, highly intelligent and caring person who has dared to dream BIG and TAKE ACTION. Here’s what she has to say about her fitness journey thus far and how the Beachbody Challenge Group is helping her to achieve her goals:
After signing up for a half marathon, I knew I needed to find a cross-training program to increase my cardiovascular endurance. I had known for a while that it was TIME to make a change. I missed my previous self: stronger, less fatigued, and more confident. Falling off the exercise wagon had left me carrying around an extra 30 pounds, and feeling less than enthusiastic about myself and life in general, to say the least. Since starting Insanity® I am starting to see remnants of this fitter self, and it feels good! It’s only been a month, but it’s amazing to see how quickly your body can respond to exercise, and how many positive effects come about from doing something so simple: pushing play.
I haven’t completed my half marathon or Insanity® yet, but I’m glad to be back on the exercise wagon again. Do I still have bad days? You bet. On those days, I try to remember that it’s time for me to put up or shut up. No more excuses. I want to be healthy. I want this for myself, and I owe it to myself. I don’t have to be perfect; I just have to keep pushing play. Yes, I’ve lost inches and pounds, but, more importantly, I’ve gained confidence, and I feel:
*STRONGER* *HEALTHIER* *MORE LIKE ME*
Since starting Insanity® I have lost 8 pounds, 5 inches, and a whole mess of negativity. A big *shout out* to Coaches Extraordinaire, Eric Hollingsworth and Tori Whitley, and EVERYONE in my Motivated Fitness Challenge Group for their moral support, encouragement, tips, and accountability. Please help keep me accountable for month two; it’s not going to be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. GAME ON.
When you are engaged in a Beachbody Challenge Group, the culmination of daily exercise, healthy eating, rest, encouragement and support not only effects you physically; it has a profound effect on the your emotional and personal well being. This change starts from the inside out until one day, you notice your reflection in the mirror smiling back at you. You’ve become stronger, leaner, more confident, more willing to help others, more outgoing, and more apt to try bigger challenges… In short, you are becoming the person that you were truly meant to be.
In This Together,
Coach Eric Hollingsworth P90X, PiYo Certified Fitness Coach MotivatedFitness@me.com
